Getting to Alta:
Alta Ski Area is located 25 miles southeast of Salt Lake City at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon, on State Highway 210. It is 32 miles and approximately 45 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. Utah Transit Authority (UTA) operates a ski bus route from many locations throughout the Salt Lake Valley right to the base of Alta's lifts. The convenient schedule times allows skiers to enjoy a full day, morning or afternoon half-day of skiing.
Alta Prices:
Adult day pass is $66, the Beginner Pass is good for the Albion, Sunnyside & Cecret lifts for $34 and the combined Snowbird/Alta pass is available for $90. Kids 12 and under $34. All this and anyone can ski for free after 3:00 p.m. Alta also offers Cat Skiing in Grizzly Gulch.
