Who We Are
Utah Vacation Homes (UVH) was established by a ski home owner, Ron Sonntag, who couldn’t find the kind of representation that he or his guests deserved. And rather than settle for what was available, he decided to create a company to meet his and his rental guest’s needs. This needs based focus reduced the amount of unnecessary expenses imposed upon both home owners and rental guests. Ron and his team took advantage of technology, personal experience, and guest feedback to design the company.
Timing helped in the success. Established in 1999, Utah Vacation Homes was born at the onset of the Internet Age. As a result, the companies’ policies and procedures were not burdened by the practices of the past. UVH took advantage of new electronic media technology to improve service while reducing expense.
Personal experience both as a guest and a home owner lead the design. Years of travel from the Bay Area to Park City taught Ron what elements of the trip were essential, and which were designed only to create revenue opportunities. Later as a ski rental home owner Ron learned that many property management companies target the home owner as a revenue source. Ron’s team decided to build a partnership relationship with the home owners in order to provide a better solution.
Most importantly, UVH listened to its clients. From the very start, client satisfaction surveys guided growth. On a daily basis, guest departure surveys, home owner communication and other research are delivered to every team member with the expectation that action will be taken immediately to learn from our clients.
